Bonny Nunez, MPH, is a PHI/CDC Global Health Program Management Fellow in the Centers for Global Health Global Immunization Division with the Immunization Systems Branch. Bonny earned her MPH in Program Management/Global Health from Boston University School of Public Health and holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Rutgers University. Prior to the fellowship, Bonny previously worked for the New Jersey State Department of Health, Community Health Service under Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Programs. As a Program Specialist, Bonny advised on initiatives to address heart disease prevention and control and provided technical assistance to FQHCs, community-based organizations, and internal & external partners to support efforts for the control of high blood pressure, cholesterol, and cardiovascular disease risk factors in NJ minority populations. Bonny is a passionate public health practitioner dedicated to promoting global health equity and applying a health equity lens to public health programming.
