Justin Wellins, MPH, is a PHI/CDC Global Health Program Management Fellow for the Office of the Director – Office of the Associate Director of Policy in Atlanta, Georgia. Recently Justin has been a working with a large network of subject matter experts to manage the delivery and design of digital activities and distant learning courses for international development professionals in the United Kingdom. Prior to his work in the United Kingdom, Justin worked for the San Francisco Department of Homelessness for over five years working across the health system from participant advocacy to policy and systems strengthening. Additionally, he served in The Gambia as United States Peace Corps Public Health Specialist working on local and national health prevention projects. Justin holds a Master of Public Health in Community Health Education from San Francisco State University. He is passionate about strengthening community health systems to reduce health inequity and empower social justice.
