Natalie Wodniak, MPH, is a PHI/CDC Global Epidemiology Fellow working with the Division of Global Health Protection in Bangkok, Thailand. She supports epidemiological studies and laboratory-enhanced surveillance for emerging infectious disease threats in Thailand and the Southeast Asia region. Prior to the fellowship, Natalie served in the emergency response to COVID-19 as an epidemiologist in the Washington, D.C. area. She earned her MPH in Global Health Epidemiology and Disease Control from the George Washington University, where she was involved in research on maternal and child health among internally displaced persons in Myanmar (Burma). In addition to infectious disease epidemiology, Natalie is passionate about humanitarian health, human rights, and ending modern slavery.
