Sarah Aheron, MPH, MBA is a PHI/CDC Global Health Monitoring & Evaluation Fellow with the HIV Prevention Branch in CDC South Africa. Sarah has primarily supported the HIV Testing and the Priority Populations teams. During her time in South Africa, she has gained invaluable insight into the challenges and constraints faced by many of our partners and government colleagues working on the ground. She is passionate about utilizing data for program improvement and has worked to ensure that happens through the development of analytical products and dissemination of results. She has expanded her data analysis and research skills by analyzing HIV data on index testing and self-testing and leading the write-up of those results. Sarah is extremely grateful for the opportunity to have worked in South Africa for the past 3 years and for the support and friendship of multiple CDC-SA colleagues.

The PHI/CDC Global Health Fellowship Program is implemented for CDC by the Public Health Institute and its partner Consortium of Universities for Global Health.
