Sarah Arciniegas, MSPH, is a PHI/CDC Global Health Strategic Information Fellow working with the CDC in Maputo, Mozambique. Sarah completed her MSPH in Global Disease Epidemiology and Control at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and she received her BA in Psychology at the University of Virginia. After she received her BA, she worked on several domestic HIV and behavioral health contracts at Abt Associates. She then transitioned her concentration to global health, working with a focus on immigrant health at the Johns Hopkins Center for Public Health and Human Rights and a focus on adolescent health at UNICEF. Sarah is passionate about utilizing public health as a tool for empowerment and social justice, particularly among women, children, and migrant populations.
